Hi, I'm Shannon Emerson. This is my second year at Canyon Rim and I’m very excited to be teaching Fourth grade. I graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Elementary Education. I’ve taught in Chicago, Baltimore, and Fort Worth, Texas as well as in Kenya.

I just moved here from Texas with my husband Scott and our cat Sabbath. We also adopted a stray pregnant cat and are anxiously awaiting the kittens’ arrival! Scott and I love to travel and go camping. I also play the piano and the guitar and enjoy playing for my students when I can. During the summer I like to be in the garden or play games in the yard with my family. I’m very excited to meet you all. I know we’ll have a wonderful year together!
