Hello! My name is Dena Lundgreen and I am so excited to teach first grade this year. This is my 3rd year teaching. I have taught pre-kindergarten, second grade and fifth grade. I’ve always wanted to teach first because it allows me to teach children to become better readers. Be prepared to have a room filled with wonderful books and many opportunities to read, write and talk about our favorite stories.

I have lived in many different places. I was born in Indiana, but have lived in Illinois, Oregon, Florida and even England. I just finished a Master’s degree in elementary education a year ago. I have an 8 year old son who will be attending CRA, but I just married a man with 7 children so I have a very BIG family now!

When I’m not hanging out with my family, I love to hike, bike and decorate my new home. I also love to go to concerts, plays and festivals.

I’m very excited to meet all my new students and share with them my love of education and discovery. First grade is a magical time in a child’s life. To be part of that is a blessing and a privilege.
