My name is Kristi Shepherd and I am so lucky to be teaching Kindergarten Enrichment at Canyon Prep Academy! I began teaching young children over 10 years ago, starting with 3-year-old preschool, moving to 4-year-old preschool, and now Kindergarten Enrichment. Teaching across these age levels has given me great insight into the learning processes of young children. I love their enthusiasm for learning! Young children are so excited to discover something new, and I enjoy being the one to discover with them using activities like science experiments, art projects and reading books.
I enjoy spending time with my son, daughter and husband, especially when we take a family vacation to Disneyland! I love animals and have several pets - 3 rabbits, a cat and a parakeet - who periodically like to visit the classroom. I also like to read books (especially picture books), bake, sew, teach and laugh:)
