Hello! My name is Chrystine González, and I have been with Canyon Rim Academy since it opened in 2007. After creating and teaching a mindfulness program to my students over the years, I was so excited to get the opportunity to teach Social Emotional Learning (SEL) this school year to all grades. Canyon Rim is actively promoting SEL to develop the skills, empathy, and resilience needed to care for oneself and others in order to make our school community a safe, caring and healthy place.
I have taught for several years in Nevada and Utah, mainly second through fourth grades. I enjoy journaling, hiking, learning Spanish, playing games, and taking dance fitness classes. I love being a mom to my cat who is full of personality and teaches me how to relax and enjoy life.
Each year at Canyon Rim gets better and better! We have the most amazing students,
teachers, and administrators. I am grateful to teach at this spectacular school.
