Testing & Assessment
The following assessments are administered at Canyon Rim Academy:
>Acadience Reading - Set of standardized indicators of literacy skills. Designed for universal screening and progress monitoring.
>Acadience Math - Universal screening and progress monitoring assessment that measures the acquisition of math skills from kindergarten through sixth grade. We only use it in grades 1-3. Acadience Math includes measures for early numeracy, computation, and problem solving.
>DLM – (Dynamic Learning Maps) - End of year alternative assessment for students with significant cognitive disabilities (1% students)
>KEEP – Kindergarten entry and exit assessment that informs parents, teachers, and leadership, on the academic and social-emotional development of entering and exiting kindergarten students.
>RISE - End-of-year assessments for grades 3-8. Includes English Language Arts (ELA) (grades 3-8), writing (grades 5 and 8), mathematics (grades 3-8), and science (grades 4-8) and RISE Benchmarks.

>WIDA/ACCESS – Assessment for English learners (EL). Software name is ACCESS (Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State).
If you desire for your student to opt out of testing, Parental Exclusion/Opt Out Forms are available in the Canyon Rim Academy office.
