A lot has been happening at CRA! This past Friday marked a major milestone with our first significant concrete pour. Starting at 5:00 AM and finishing around 5:00 PM, more than 20 workers and multiple trucks worked hard to lay the foundation flooring for the new school—and it looks fantastic.
In the video, you'll notice white PVC pipes emerging from the floor; these are for water, sewer, and electrical systems. The yellow tarp seen early in the footage is a vapor barrier, which helps protect the concrete from moisture.
In addition, a couple of semi-truck loads of lumber were delivered yesterday and today. We expect the framing crew to begin work on the courtyard section as early as this week.

Older News for our Building Development...
Long before the school was purchased in 2014, discussions at Board meetings consistently highlighted the need to address safety, security, parking, and the deteriorating infrastructure. We also aimed to create a modern and comfortable learning environment, equipped with all the features you would want for your child. To address these challenges, the Board formed an ad-hoc committee—the Long Range Planning Committee—tasked with developing a comprehensive strategic plan to achieve these goals. After careful evaluation of various scenarios and cost estimates with engineers and architects, the committee has recommended rebuilding the school.
Meeting the physical needs of the school has been a priority for many years, as the building is now 70 years old. The most pressing concern, voiced by you—our stakeholders—is the urgent need to update, upgrade, or rebuild the facility. This project is a shared investment, and we understand how important it is to keep everyone informed throughout the process, regardless of the start date. One thing is certain: CRA will remain open in our current building location during construction as the new building is built in the open space on our school property.
