I am so thrilled to be a part of Canyon Rim Academy and the Second Grade team! My name is Vanessa Tendick and I gained my education from Westminster College with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology.
I absolutely love learning alongside my students and feel grateful to be a small part of their educational journey each year. CRA holds such a special place in my heart; it has been the backdrop for so many of my life's milestones- getting engaged & married, home purchases, navigating profound losses, starting a family, and eventually watching my own two children attend this wonderful school because I so deeply believe in its philosophy, values, and mission.
Outside of the classroom, I cherish every moment spent with my family and friends, especially my husband and our two children. We love living in Utah and being outdoors together- exploring the desert, wandering through the Uinta Mountains, and spending time along the shores of any body of water, but especially when we get to travel to the ocean. I also love getting lost in a good book, cooking elaborate and delicious meals for loved ones, gardening and using the crops from our backyard in the dishes I create, and ending my day with good music, a gluten-free treat, and a fun game with my family.
I am truly thrilled to be spending another year at CRA, in this incredibly special community, surrounded by the most darling children.
